That day began like any other day down on the sidewalks in front of the abortion center. On Thursday, November 6, 2025, Ellen* was counseling women entering the abortion center when something happened that was completely unexpected—a reminder that God is working with and through us even when we are not aware of it. He is always faithful.
State Sen. Romaine Quinn (R-Cameron) and State Rep. Joy Goeben (R-Hobart) have introduced companion legislation (Senate Bill [SB] 553/Assembly Bill [AB] 546) that provides definitional clarity in Wisconsin abortion law.
The bills do so by amending the various statutory definitions of “abortion” to make explicit that a physician’s performance of a medical procedure or treatment designed or intended to prevent the death of a pregnant woman and not designed or intended to kill the unborn child is not an abortion.
July 2025 saw the landscape of our laws in Wisconsin shift and settle back to the Roe days with the dismissal of Planned Parenthood v. Urmanski and Kaul v. Urmanski decision which saw the fall of our 1849 abortion ban. Let’s take a look at each of these to see what we are now up against with the future of the Pro-Life Movement in Wisconsin.

Did you know that June 14, 2025, marks the annual March for Life Wisconsin? On the second Saturday of June, hundreds if not thousands of pro-life, pro-family people from communities around Wisconsin will gather together at the State Street steps at the State Capitol in Madison from 2-4pm. There, we will rally with speakers who will address a variety of pro-life, pro-family topics as we support women and their babies and “embrace them both.”

Legislation has been reintroduced by State Senator Mary Felzkowski (R-Irma) permitting pharmacists to prescribe and dispense hormonal contraceptive patches (the Patch) and self-administered oral hormonal contraceptives (the Pill) to persons 18 years of age and older. Act now to oppose this legislation!
We thank God for our county affiliates who do so much in their own communities to cultivate a culture of life. We know that abortion does not happen on the Supreme Court steps, nor at the State Capitol, but right here in our own communities. When we say NO to abortion at the local level, it echoes throughout our great state and nation.
Former Planned Parenthood manager and current 40 Days for Life Director of Outreach, Sue Thayer, will share her story of transformation in Sheboygan on February 14, 2021. Thayer will speak at the Kick-Off Rally for 40 Days for Life-Sheboygan, which is set for 1:00 p.m.at the corner of S. Taylor Drive and New Jersey Avenue.
The Senate Committee on Human Services, Children and Families will hold a public hearing on Senate Bill 4, Senate Bill 5, and Senate Bill 7 this Thursday, January 21, at 12:00 p.m. in Room 201 Southeast of the State Capitol. The three bills are authored by Senator Andre Jacque (R-De Pere) and Representative Jeremy Thiesfeldt (R-Fond du Lac).
While we were on the sidewalk, a car drove up and a young woman got out. As she walked up to the abortion facility door, she spoke with sidewalk counselors, despite the distractions from pro-abortion escorts. As soon as I saw her walk in the door, I prayed especially hard for her and her baby — that she would not go through with an abortion and that both of them would leave unharmed. Sometime later, she came out of the facility, but I continued praying.
A strong pro-life majority was retained in the State Assembly and the pro-life majority was increased in the State Senate. As we begin a new legislative session in 2021 and look to unseat pro-abortion Governor Evers in 2022, we want to thank all our supporters who assisted our candidates with their time, treasure, and prayers.
Whether there is a pandemic or not, thousands of preborn babies die at Wisconsin abortion facilities each year. Every day, beautiful, irreplaceable, unique and precious preborn babies are killed. Their last chance of survival is found in the compassionate appeal of sidewalk counselors who remind vulnerable moms of the abundance of help and hope that await them in choosing life for their babies.
“Every child simply by the fact of his or her existence is a child of God and is made in the image and likeness of God and has a right to life,” stated Bishop Hying. “And that is really the ideal that Pro-Life Wisconsin articulates so well. I encourage everyone to be involved with Pro-Life Wisconsin; they are a voice of truth and of compassion for our state and are having a great impact. The more people get involved, the stronger that collective voice for life becomes.”
This week I went sidewalk counseling in front of the abortion facility in Milwaukee on Farwell Avenue. I had a pretty full day already, but the Holy Spirit was calling me to go. What I wanted to do was go home, put my feet up, and relax, but I went anyway. Not but 30 minutes into my time on the sidewalks, a big truck pulls up and out pours two women. One was obviously pregnant and the other seemed to be the “support person.”
