The Resolve to End Abortion

THE RESOLVE TO END ABORTION

By Gabriel (Erin, WI)

On a cool autumn day, my classmates and I went to pray outside of an abortion facility in Milwaukee during the 40 Days for Life campaign. When we arrived, I was nervous but excited to be an active part of the pro-life community. Pro-Life Wisconsin was there to welcome us, and Archbishop Listecki led everyone in prayer.

While we were on the sidewalk, a car drove up and a young woman got out. As she walked up to the abortion facility door, she spoke with sidewalk counselors, despite the distractions from pro-abortion escorts. As soon as I saw her walk in the door, I prayed especially hard for her and her baby — that she would not go through with an abortion and that both of them would leave unharmed. Sometime later, she came out of the facility, but I continued praying.

She confirmed with Pro-Life Wisconsin sidewalk counselors that she was keeping the baby! A save!

The young woman, for whom I had prayed, had left the abortion facility without having an abortion! Tears of joy came to my eyes as I realized that I had been part of saving the preborn child and his/her mother. My classmates and I were so grateful we were able to pray on the sidewalks that day; we resolved to be there more often, to pray for an end to abortion. As pro-lifers, our prayers and support save lives and families.

We are the pro-life generation, and we love moms and babies!
