STANDING UP FOR THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE

When Pro-Life Wisconsin heard about sidewalk counselors’ first amendment free speech rights being chilled by local law enforcement in the Milwaukee area, we teamed up with LifeSiteNews to circulate a petition to educate the thousands of pro-lifers in the Wisconsin area about what’s happening on the front lines.

Sidewalk counselors are the last line of defense for babies in the womb, standing in the gap in their defense and speaking for them because they cannot speak for themselves! Pandemic or not, our constitutionally protected free speech rights cannot and must not be abridged! Especially when Governor Evers is permitting abortion centers to kill with impunity when other elective, non-essential surgeries are shut down. Since abortion is persistently labeled as a choice, then naturally there must an alternative. We offer this alternative through our sidewalk counseling ministries, dozens of Pro-Life Wisconsin local affiliates, thousands of active and engaged volunteers, and a vast network of over 57 pregnancy resource centers in Wisconsin. Our voices must be heard for the voiceless!

On April 24, 2020, at the State Capitol, Pro-Life Wisconsin State Director Dan Miller and Legislative Director Matt Sande met with State Representative Shae Sortwell (R-Two Rivers) to deliver the petition signatures supporting pro-lifers threatened and arrested for praying outside of abortion facilities! This is the first of many petition deliveries which are taking place all around the country - from Maryland and New York to Alabama and North Carolina, from Wisconsin and Ohio to Colorado and California.
