DEADLINE TO REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT IS THIS THURSDAY, APRIL 2: ACT NOW AND VOTE FOR LIFE! 

The spring general election scheduled for Tuesday, April 7th is fast approaching! It is crucial that you make your voice heard this election and vote for life. For a list of the Pro-Life Wisconsin (PLW) Victory Fund PAC’s spring election endorsements, click HERE.

All registered Wisconsin voters can request an absentee ballot be mailed to them for any reason. We strongly encourage you to vote absentee. The deadline to request an absentee ballot for regular and permanent overseas voters is no later than 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2020. For full details on photo ID requirements and all absentee ballot deadlines, click HERE. 

After receiving and completing your absentee ballot, you must return it by mail or personal delivery to your municipal clerk. Your ballot must be received by your municipal clerk no later than 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, April 7, 2020. The U.S. Postal Service recommends mailing your ballot at least 7 days in advance.

Some single voters living alone have expressed their concerns about how to obtain the required witness signature on their absentee certificate envelope during this difficult time of COVID-19 seclusion (self-quarantine and social distancing). As reported in the Madison Capital Times, Wisconsin Elections Commission spokesman Reid Magney said Elections Commission officials are encouraging voters to “be creative” during this time.  

For example, he (Magney) said individuals can use FaceTime or Skype so a witness can watch them fill out their ballot, or have the witness come to their home and observe them through a window. Then, the voter could leave the envelope outside the home, such as on a porch, for the witness to pick up, sign and address. Those with cars could also meet somewhere, park next to each other, put gloves on and pass the ballots at arm’s length through the car windows, he said.
