Pro-Life Champion André Jacque to Not Seek Re-Election to Wisconsin Senate

Published 5.4.2026

Last Thursday, April 30, 2026, State Senator André Jacque (R-New Franken) announced his decision to not seek an additional term in the Wisconsin Senate, marking an end to a remarkable sixteen-year legislative career. Jacque was elected to the State Assembly in 2010 and then elected to the State Senate in 2018.

André Jacque earned the trust and commitment of the pro-life community not only in his district but across the state of Wisconsin. His principled and compassionate pro-life leadership made a real difference in Madison. His success in enacting laws auditing and defunding Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin and ending abortion coverage in Wisconsin’s public health plans, as well as his efforts to protect preborn babies in our state constitution as persons and end the use of aborted fetal body parts in research, made him an exemplary pro-life legislator.

Pro-Life Wisconsin regards André Jacque as the strongest and most effective pro-life legislator in the history of the Wisconsin Legislature. His unwavering commitment to protect each and every innocent human being from the moment of conception, his courageous efforts to enshrine the right to life in the Wisconsin Constitution, and his zeal to defend the dignity of the most vulnerable will never be forgotten.

We wish André the very best in his future endeavors and, from the bottom of our hearts, we thank him for his selfless service to the preborn—always his number one legislative priority. May God bless you André, and your loving family, always.
