PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN REACTS TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD OF WISCONSIN RESUMING ABORTIONS
For Immediate Release: October 27, 2025
(Brookfield, WI) – Today it was announced that Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is resuming abortions in Wisconsin after an almost month-long pause. This announcement comes as the abortion provider has given up their status as an essential community provider (ECP), which allows them to resume receiving Medicaid dollars even though they perform abortions.
Pro-Life Wisconsin State Director Dan Miller offered the following comments in response:
We've known for 90 years that Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin was never an essential community provider. Now they have made it official, so they can resume killing babies while still receiving our tax dollars to operate their grisly business. Abortion is not health care. Ask any baby who has been at the business end of a Planned Parenthood forceps.
Women in Wisconsin deserve real care and real support for themselves and their babies. There are over 60 pregnancy resource centers (PRCs) and many federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) that are serving vulnerable women all across the state, and we do not need Planned Parenthood to ensure that these populations have the care they need going forward. We encourage women looking for health care and pregnancy support to find a FQHC or PRC near them by visiting dhs.wisconsin.gov/forwardhealth/clinics.htm or crisispregnancies.org.
