ST. FRANCIS, February 1st – Milwaukee Guild of the Catholic Medical Association Presents a Talk Entitled: “And The Two Shall Become One Flesh: The Inseparable Meanings of Conjugal Love”

Join the Milwaukee Guild of the Catholic Medical Association on Saturday February 1st with Mass at 8:00a.m. followed by the presentation at St. Francis de Sales Seminary (3257 S Lake Dr, St Francis, WI 53235). The presentation by Fr. Jacob Strand is titled: “And The Two Shall Become One Flesh: The Inseparable Meanings of Conjugal Love.” Father Strand will provide an historical overview of 20th century developments in the Church’s articulation of the meaning of conjugal love. He will argue that Pope Saint Paul VI’s contribution to this discussion in Humanae Vitae not only synthesized Church teaching on contraception but also would become the basis for the Church’s response to IVF. He will encourage health care professionals to remember they cannot be good physicians without first being good metaphysicians.
