Leonardo da Vinci once said: “Iron rusts from disuse; stagnant water loses its purity and in cold weather becomes frozen; even so does inaction sap the vigor of the mind.”
Like any great structure, there must be a strong foundation. Our 2nd pillar helps us avoid the stagnation da Vinci refers to and provides the strength we need to push on: ACTIVISM.
I am delighted by the fact that one of our main pillars at Pro-Life Wisconsin is: EDUCATE.
Prior to being the Development Director at Pro-Life Wisconsin, I was in student ministry for 14 years teaching, leading, and shepherding teenagers aged 12-18 through the most transformative part of their lives. I have always had a passion for pointing students to the truth that comes from God’s Word.
That day began like any other day down on the sidewalks in front of the abortion center. On Thursday, November 6, 2025, Ellen* was counseling women entering the abortion center when something happened that was completely unexpected—a reminder that God is working with and through us even when we are not aware of it. He is always faithful.

A newborn baby was surrendered to the Safe Haven Baby Box in Racine, Wisconsin, near Washington and Lathrop Avenues, around 12:15 p.m., on October 16, 2025. This is the first time a mother used a Safe Haven Baby Box in the state, explained the Racine Fire Department.
However, thanks to efforts by the Racine Fire Department, Racine Knights of Columbus, Council 15659, Pro-Life Wisconsin, and Wisconsin Right to Life, the first Safe Haven Baby Box located on the outside of Racine’s Fire Station 4, 3829 Washington Ave., Racine, WI, will serve as a secure place where a parent can safely and anonymously place their newborn.

State Sen. Romaine Quinn (R-Cameron) and State Rep. Joy Goeben (R-Hobart) have introduced companion legislation (Senate Bill [SB] 553/Assembly Bill [AB] 546) that provides definitional clarity in Wisconsin abortion law.
The bills do so by amending the various statutory definitions of “abortion” to make explicit that a physician’s performance of a medical procedure or treatment designed or intended to prevent the death of a pregnant woman and not designed or intended to kill the unborn child is not an abortion.
July 2025 saw the landscape of our laws in Wisconsin shift and settle back to the Roe days with the dismissal of Planned Parenthood v. Urmanski and Kaul v. Urmanski decision which saw the fall of our 1849 abortion ban. Let’s take a look at each of these to see what we are now up against with the future of the Pro-Life Movement in Wisconsin.
On an 87-10 bipartisan vote, the Wisconsin Assembly passed Assembly Bill (AB) 43 last Tuesday, legislation introduced in a misguided attempt to reduce unplanned pregnancies. The bill, authored by State Representative Joel Kitchens (R-Sturgeon Bay) and State Senator Rachael Cabral-Guevara (R-Appleton), permits pharmacists to prescribe hormonal contraceptive patches (the Patch) and self-administered oral hormonal contraceptives (the Pill) to persons 18 years of age and older.

Did you know that June 14, 2025, marks the annual March for Life Wisconsin? On the second Saturday of June, hundreds if not thousands of pro-life, pro-family people from communities around Wisconsin will gather together at the State Street steps at the State Capitol in Madison from 2-4pm. There, we will rally with speakers who will address a variety of pro-life, pro-family topics as we support women and their babies and “embrace them both.”
The person we want to see there?
I woke up to darkness and pounding rain on the morning of Good Friday.
Then, I started to think about what our Pro-Life Stations of the Cross would look like in pouring rain. Anxiety settled in, and I began doubting the “why” of the entire event. But then I said a quick prayer and brushed it off, saying to myself, “The rains will be over and gone by the time we begin to make the journey to that awful place. Everything is going to be alright.”
