In 1992, almost 20 years after Roe v. Wade, a new statewide legislative and educational pro-life organization was formed in Wisconsin. The vision for this new organization was shared by dedicated and experienced pro-lifers who realized that the pro-life movement needed to refocus on principle to achieve total protection for all preborn children.

Pro-Life Wisconsin is that organization.

Founded on the bedrock principle of the pro-life movement – that all preborn babies are "persons" and all innocent persons share the inalienable right to life – Pro-Life Wisconsin educates the public and lobbies elected officials.

Believing that "it is never the will of the Father in heaven that one of these little ones should be lost" (Matthew 18:14), Pro-Life Wisconsin is a Christian organization relying on God to change hearts and minds toward His most precious creation of human life.

As a legislative and educational organization, Pro-Life Wisconsin is continually working to bring us closer to the day when all babies in Wisconsin (no matter how they were conceived, what stage of development they are at, or whether or not they are in perfect health) are protected in every community in our state.

Through advocacy at the State Capitol in Madison, we urge our elected officials to ban abortion without exceptions for rape, incest or the life and health of the mother.

We advocate passage of a state constitutional amendment to establish the legal personhood of every preborn child from fertilization.

We defend the conscience rights of medical professionals who refuse to prescribe or dispense abortifacient drugs or devices, and we work to stop all efforts to legalize euthanasia, assisted suicide and infanticide.

In communities throughout our state, Pro-Life Wisconsin local affiliate groups change hearts and minds by spreading the Gospel of Life in their communities.

By educating friends and neighbors about the connection between contraception and abortion, Pro-Life Wisconsin builds up strong families, which reduces sexual promiscuity, unplanned pregnancies and abortions.

Personhood is a legal concept that recognizes that human beings have rights under the law. Slavery was once legal in the U.S. because slaves were denied legal personhood. But did you know that some humans are still denied personhood in America? That's right, preborn children are not considered legal "persons" under the law, and they have no legal rights as a result.

Our goal is to amend the Wisconsin Constitution to recognize the preborn child as a legal person, fully protected under Wisconsin law.

Exceptions for Abortion

Pro-Life Wisconsin believes every life matters, and we will never exclude any human being from protection by allowing or promoting abortion exceptions. We oppose direct, intentional abortion in all cases. Put another away, Pro-Life Wisconsin doesn't support legislation that undermines the personhood of the preborn child by explicitly including exceptions for rape, incest, disability, or perceived threat to the mother's health or life.

Pro-Life Wisconsin celebrates the beauty and true purpose of human sexuality. We believe artificial birth control thwarts this purpose, and as a result, we oppose all artificial forms of it.

Rooted in Faith

Pro-Life Wisconsin is proud to be a Christian organization! We recognize the pro-life battle is a spiritual one and ultimately dependent upon God for victory. Our faith is at the center of everything we do.

Our team is made up of passionate individuals working across disciplines to build a strong culture of life in our state.

March for Life

Pro-Life Wisconsin marks January 22, the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade, in many ways: through affiliate events, prayer and a presence in Washington, D.C.

This annual four-day pilgrimage to Washington, D.C., to pray, march and be a vocal majority for life is an inspiring experience for the pro-life movement. It will re-ignite your passion to end abortion and will fortify your convictions with the support of thousands of other pro-lifers.

Each year, Pro-Life Wisconsin’s buses are full to the brim with over 100 enthusiastic supporters, joining hundreds of other pro-lifers from Wisconsin and thousands from around the country.

Pro-Life Wisconsin supporters spend two days in Washington, D.C. and take part in youth rallies, training workshops, and the annual Mass for Life held in the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The two days culminates with the March for Life held on January 22.

To learn more about this year's pilgrimage, visit our upcoming events page, or call 262-796-1111.
