Many have asked me over the years what’s the “secret sauce” to saving babies at abortion centers. My number one answer is almost always, “showing up.” It is possible to save babies online, over the phone, text messaging, video conference, but in my opinion, nothing surpasses the personal interaction of a one-on-one conversation with an abortion-oriented mom at an abortion center. Of course, we know the mom is serious about the abortion because SHE is there. Conversely, she knows we are serious about saving her baby because WE are there. Our presence speaks VOLUMES.

The United States Supreme Court is on the precipice of overturning its most egregious ruling: Roe v. Wade. After 49 years and over sixty million slain, it is far past time Roe be tossed upon the ash heap of history. If the Supreme Court overturns Roe and Casey and sends the abortion issue back to the states, it is critical that we be prepared to protect every preborn child in Wisconsin from the moment of conception. This will require two, and possibly three, state legislative actions.
Early Sunday morning, Pro-Life Wisconsin received news that the office of our ally, Wisconsin Family Action, had been attacked. The perpetrators set fire to the office, threw Molotov cocktails into the space, and wrote graffiti on the exterior which read, “If abortions aren’t safe then you aren’t either.”
This week I went sidewalk counseling in front of the abortion facility in Milwaukee on Farwell Avenue. I had a pretty full day already, but the Holy Spirit was calling me to go. What I wanted to do was go home, put my feet up, and relax, but I went anyway. Not but 30 minutes into my time on the sidewalks, a big truck pulls up and out pours two women. One was obviously pregnant and the other seemed to be the “support person.”
Many groups which oppose contraception because of deeply held religious values, such as the Little Sisters of the Poor and Hobby Lobby, have been fighting this contraception mandate for years. The court’s decision today to uphold religious liberty and conscience rights is a huge win for the culture of life and religious employers everywhere!
Planned Parenthood of Illinois announced the opening of their newest abortion facility in Illinois. The 18,024 square foot facility located in Waukegan, IL is the first abortion center in Lake County and specifically targets not only the minority population of Waukegan but also residents of Wisconsin.
In a tweet Saturday evening, Marquette University, a private, Jesuit institution, was seen promoting Planned Parenthood and praising the abortion provider as a “health clinic.” Albeit subtle, the tweet clearly refers to Planned Parenthood in Milwaukee as the subjects of the photo wear scrubs and name tags marked with the Planned Parenthood logo.
It was a cold, Friday morning in Wisconsin. It was a day like any other on Farwell, except it was Good Friday, one of the holiest days of the year. For years, Pro-Life Wisconsin has held a Good Friday Pro-Life Stations of the Cross at St. Rita’s Catholic Church – and then processed solemnly over to the abortion facility on Farwell Avenue in Milwaukee, WI. It always draws a big crowd. That year was no different.
