AB 128 Testimony

Current Wisconsin law already prohibits abortion coverage in Wisconsin’s health insurance exchange. The federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (a.k.a. Obamacare) allows health insurance plans offering abortion coverage to participate in a state's insurance “exchange” and to receive federal subsidies unless the state legislature proactively opts-out of offering such plans.

Bill to prohibit UW abortions

Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin should not be an abortion-training ground for UW medical residents. These residents need to be instructed in how to save, preserve and respect life, not how to kill preborn children at our state’s number-one abortion provider.

State elections critical to keeping pro-life majorities

There is no sliding scale with our pro-life endorsements. A candidate can’t be “mostly pro-life.” So, the Victory Fund only endorses candidates with 100 percent pro-life stances on all the issues: personhood, abortion, assisted suicide, cloning, embryo destructive research and the sale of aborted baby body parts.

Exceptions in abortion legislation do just that.

The case, Whole Woman’s Health v. Hellerstedt, marked the first major decision on abortion access in over twenty years. The case focused on whether the above described regulations pose an “undue burden” for…

Supreme court puts Louisiana abortion law on hold

In 2014, Louisiana passed a law requiring abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at local hospitals. The law, which is similar to legislation passed in Texas and Wisconsin, threatens all but one of the state's abortion clinics with closure. But now, the Supreme Court has blocked enforcement of the law in a move that doesn't bode well for similar legislation in other states. The Associated Press reports: The Supreme Court on Friday blocked enforcement of a Louisiana law that could…
